Life Drawing at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt (Trail and Medusa) will begin its 27th consecutive year on Tuesday October 4, 10 am to 1 pm. In each weekly session a nude model (alternating male and female) is drawn by the attending group in a series of poses lasting from 1 minute to 30 minutes. Historically and currently an important part of training for artists, these weekly sessions are an unusual opportunity to practice drawing the most complex and inspiring of subjects in natural overhead light. Easels are provided. Fees are $15 per drop-in or $10 per week if you pay by the month.

For further information please call Maurice Spira (604) 885-4611 or Nena Braathen (604) 885-2860.

Join us to sharpen your drawing skills, just bring your drawing board and papers and whatever you like to draw with. Our artists use everything from classic charcoal to pastels and oil sticks and even iPad to capture the subtleties of light that only natural light can offer.
