Coming Events at FibreWorks

It is the end of a lovely summer month and we are excited about the happenings at FibreWorks.

Me and My Shadow – an exhibition of batik by Swedish artist, Edna Cers – continues through to September 09th. Visitors to the Gallery are calling it the not-to-be­-missed exhibition.

Saturday, September 15th is the opening reception for Bloom Where You Are Planted – an exhibition of colour and texture by Julie Pongrac and Yvonne Stowell. Come for refreshments from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and meet the artists (see attachment). Exhibition continues through to November 11, 2012.

Weavers Circle continues in the studio with Mary Bentley every Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The weavers are getting younger – today it was age 6 to ……

Wednesday, September 05 – Singing the Blues – indigo vat dyeing with Ros Aylmer – is full!
Good news – we have opened a second day – Thursday, September 06 – (see attachment) – please check website – for details.

Saturday and Sunday – September 22 & 23 – Pine Needle Basket workshop with Hattie Olsen. This workshop is now full. We have invited Hattie to teach again in the spring, and if you wish to put your name on the spring list, please contact us as soon as possible. Hattie takes only a few students at a time and it is easy to miss out!
