Life drawing in Sechelt

The Fall fresh air is back, a time for fresh starts and maybe a new direction in your creative life would benefit from life drawing. Join us in Sechelt at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre any Tuesday from 10 till 1 for life drawing under natural light flooding down from the skylight. Easels are provided so just bring your drawing materials and a board or just a sketchbook, whatever works for you. People use pencils, charcoal, pastels, chalks and even iPads sometimes.

We're a nice group so if life drawing is what you need in your artistic toolkit, come and give us a try. Some of us scoot next door for a great homemade lunch at the Seniors Centre during our half hour break at 11:30 so you can draw and have lunch too.

Drawing from the human form is so invigorating and really trains the hand and eye and drawing in natural daylight from the overhead skylight is just wonderful. In each weekly session a nude model (alternating male and female) is drawn in a series of poses lasting from 1 minute to 30 minutes. Easels are provided.

Fees are $15 per drop-in or $10 per week if you pay by the month. For further information please call Maurice Spira (604) 885-4611 or Nena Braathen (604) 885-2860.
